My Favorite Press-on Nails

Hey y’all!

How is everyone still doing during quarantine!? I hope you are hanging in there and keeping busy (or not, either is fine!), I know that I have my good and bad days but that’s okay!
I wanted to share with you guys something I’ve been trying during my time home….PRESS-ON NAILS! Lol I feel like when you hear press on nails you automatically laugh because we’ve all had a not so great experience with them. But I had been hearing that they have come a long way and I found a girl on TikTok who swore by them so I decided to try some different brands out. All in all, I do like them and I think it’s a fun way to get a easy, polished and fun manicure in minutes. With that being said they definitely wouldn’t hold up at the salon and won’t be replacing my nail guy (I love my ANC) lol but I enjoyed playing around with them while home! I think someone with a job that doesn’t requiring washing peoples hair all day would be able to wear these for work! If you want to hear all about the brands I liked keep on reading:)

So I accidentally bought these thinking I was buying different ones but I thought I’d mention them anyways. These were terrible lol and the adhesive didn’t work at all but it does come with nail glue and the glue works pretty well. I was really disappointed because I loved how these looked! So if you get these don’t bother with the adhesive just use the glue and these would be good for a quick last minute mani! I bought these at CVS but I believe Walmart and Rite Aid carry them too!

A follower of mine told me about these ( thanks Heather!) and they far exceeded my expectations! They have lots of fun colors and patterns and you can get them online at www.dashingdive.com or at Ulta. These are my second favorite that I’ve tried. They are really simple to apply but I felt the sizing of the nails weren’t as diverse as other brands and I had a little bit of trouble finding the right fit ( I have super narrow nails though). All in all I really liked these and would definitely recommend. This brand also sells the nail strips which are just like stickers that look like polish!

THESE! These are the winner! These are very similar to the Dashing Diva ones, structure wise, but these had better sizing and they stay on a little bit longer for me. I love the colors and designs they have and one pack comes with accent nails to us…

THESE! These are the winner! These are very similar to the Dashing Diva ones, structure wise, but these had better sizing and they stay on a little bit longer for me. I love the colors and designs they have and one pack comes with accent nails to use if you want! You don’t have to use the accent nails if you don’t want to though, they give you plenty of just the plain ones. I also liked that these looked like my actual nail the most and were very realistic looking like I had painted them myself. These ones last me a little over a week! You can purchase them at CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart or any drug store pretty much! Ps- KISS has a few different press-on nails so if you want these ones make sure they say imPRESS on them.

They key with getting any press on nails to last is to follow the instructions to a T. I always prep my nails by shaping them first, cleaning them with nail polish remover, then washing my hands with soap and water and then I wipe every nail with the alcohol pad that comes in the pack of nails. The alcohol pad is very very very important as it gets rid of any oils on the nails helping the nails stick better. The girl I found on TikTok said she gets a good two weeks out of them, I have to say I only get a week sometimes a little longer out of them so I don’t know how she gets two weeks, lol. Also, I add a little nail glue to them if I see them lifting on the edges and that gives me a few more days with them. If you guys want me to put a story up on Instagram on how I pick the sizes and apply them let me know!

I hope this helped anyone who was on the fence about press-ones and I can’t wait to see if your try them. If you do, make sure to tag me in your photos!

I would also love to hear about any other brands you guys have tried, leave me a comment over on insta!

Thanks for reading and I love you all so much!

xoxo
